Green and Gold's comeback falls short

JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven volleyball team fell 3-1 to Southern States Athletics opponent Bethel University on Friday night. The Wildcats sweep the Blazers on the season, after defeating the Belhaven in early September. The Blazers fall to 10-12 overall and 1-9 in SSAC play.

"Collectively, we did a great job offensively and defensively, and did some things to keep ourselves in the match, but Bethel was too strong," said head coach Justin Dee.

After losing the first two sets 20-25, 22-25, respectively, the Blazers won a clutch third set 25-23. Bethel was too strong in the fourth and final set, winning 25-19. Bethel improves to 11-8 overall and 7-3 in SSAC play.
