Box Score CLINTON, Miss. – The Belhaven volleyball team dropped to 2-11 in Southern States Athletic Conference action and 8-18 overall on Wednesday with a loss to the University of Mobile. The Rams took the match in consecutive sets while improving to 9-2 in the conference and 18-11 overall.

"Mobile is the #2 team in our conference, and we didn't play at 100 percent strength," Belhaven Head Coach Justin Dee said. "Even with everyone healthy and playing their own position, this is a tough team to beat."

Mobile's set victories came by scores of 25-16, 25-15, and 25-16. Taylor Lafavre led the offensive attack for the Blazers with seven kills, while Mobile counterpart Maegan Wilkins led all scorers with 11.

Belhaven setter Gabriella Zorzoli chimed in 16 assists, and Katherine Owen added 16 digs on the defensive side. Reagin Boggs assisted on 30 of the Rams' 36 kills on the evening, while Katy McCollister led all defenders with 17 digs.

The Blazers will hit the road for a non-conference matchup Thursday night against NCAA Division II University of Arkansas at Monticello. The match is set to begin at 7:30 pm.

"We will use the same lineup against Monticello," Dee said. "If we play hard like we did tonight, we have an opportunity to win."
