Jackson, MS- The Blazer men's and women's tennis team followed up their wins against Emmanuel on Saturday afternoon with two more wins over Rust College the same day. Both men and women claimed 9-0 victories bumping their season records to 10-2 (men) and 9-2 (women).

The Blazer men swept the entire singles competition with identical 6-0 victories. Daniel Prado, David Mejia, Jim Scott, Trey Woods, Elliot Clark and Chris Tapia all were credited with wins. The Blazers didn't let up in the doubles competition as well, defeating Rust in all three contests. David Mejia/Daniel Prado, Trey Woods/Elliot Clark, Jim Scott/Chris Tapia all tabbed wins from default on Rust's behalf.

The Belhaven women cleaned up on the women's side taking all six singles competitions. Ana Arreygue got her victory in two sets 6-0, 6-1. Indi Mire claimed her match 6-1, 6-0 while Shelly Munn took her opponent down 6-0, 6-0. Latoya Williams finished her match winning 6-0, 6-2. Mary Carole Keiwit and Rachel Earnheart both won their matches through default.

In the doubles competition Ana Arreygue/ Indi Mire, Mary Carole Kiewit/Shelly Munn, and Latoya Williams/Rachel Earnheart all received their victories by default of Rust's behalf.

Both the men's and women's teams will be back in action on March 30, taking on SSAC opponent Shorter University at 3:00 PM.
