Jackson, MS- The Belhaven Volleyball team wrapped up their final games at the Millsap's Invitational Saturday going 2-2 in the tournament. The Blazers prevailed over Schreiner University in the first match and lost a tough battle in the second match to LeTourneau University. Belhaven beat Schreiner University in four sets with the final scores of 16-25, 25-19, 25-18, and 25-23. The Blazers were then uprooted by LeTourneau University in three sets with the final scores of 18-25, 17-25, and 20-25.

Gabriella Zorzoli led the Blazers with 16 digs and nine kills against Schreiner University. Christiana Atwood tallied in 10 kills followed by Erinn Hampton with nine kills. Siobhan Hardy came in strong with five aces followed by Katherine Owen and Christina Atwood who both clocked in two aces. Christina Jaques turned in three block assists and three assists on the match. The Blazers as a team canned in a 92.1 serving percentage in the match.

The Blazers came up short against LeTourneau University. Christina Jaques tallied nine kills while Christiana Atwood had five block assists. Gabriella Zorzoli turned in seven digs and Samantha O'Malley along with Lise Chapelier both recorded two aces. As a team, the Blazers had a total of 27 kills and 23 digs.
The Blazers are 5-2 on the season and will be back in action on September 7 at Millsaps College in Jackson, MS at 7:00 PM.
