Jackson, MS- The Belhaven Volleyball team got back on track after losing two straight matches with a win on Tuesday night over Tougaloo College in the their home opener. The Blazers overwhelmed the Bulldogs in three straight sets with the final scores of 25-10, 25-0, and 25-5. The win brings the Blazers record on the season to 7-5.

The Blazers took control of the match from the opening serve. Erin Bradley led the Blazers Tuesday night with an outstanding serving percentage of 94.7 with 14 aces, 12 assists and two digs. Christina Jaques turned in five kills and one block assists while Christina Atwood clocked in four kills on the night. The Blazers were a force in the match managing Tougaloo College to commit 25 reception errors in the contest. As a team the Blazers curved in 17 kills with a serving percentage of 86.1.

Catch the Blazers back in action in Belhaven's Tri-match in Rugg Arena on Saturday September 18. Their first conference game of the season will be against Faulkner University at 2 PM and that evening they will take on Mississippi College in a non-conference game at 6 PM.
