Mobile, AL-The Belhaven volleyball team met up with Spring Hill College on Saturday afternoon in a Southern States Athletic Conference matchup and fell to the Badgers 3-0. The final set scores were 9-25, 19-25, and 12-25 as the Blazers are still looking for their first win in conference play.

Spring Hill (22-2, 4-1 SSAC) dominated the match from start to finish and were led by Abbey Roam and Yiting Cao with nine kills each. Cao also added four aces on the afternoon and Meredith Donald came up with eight digs on the defensive side of the net. Taryn Nash ended the match with 34 assists in 62 attempts.

Belhaven (9-13, 0-6 SSAC) was led by Christina Atwood who turned in a solid match with eight kills on 14 attempts for an attack percentage of 42.9. Taylor Williams chipped in with six kills and tallied four digs of the defensive side of the net. Erin Bradley assisted on 23 kills with a total of 60 assist attempts.

Belhaven will return to the court on Tuesday night at Faulkner for another SSAC contest in Montgomery, AL. The Blazers lost their first meeting of the season with Faulkner 3-0 on September 18th. The contest is slated to get underway at 7:00 PM.
