It was a disappointing night for Belhaven (7-5) especially coming off a good weekend in which they went 3-1 at the Hendrix College Invitational. In game one Tuesday, the Lady Blazers fell behind 6-5 then clawed back to tie the score at 9-9. However, Millsaps (5-4) outscored Belhaven 16-5 the rest of the way to take game one 25-15.
Belhaven struggled mightily in game two as the Lady Majors exploded out of the gate for a 12-5 advantage. The Lady Blazers stayed within seven points of Millsaps at 19-12, but it didn't take long for the Lady Majors to put the game away 25-13 and earn a two games to none advantage in the match.
In game three, Belhaven regained some of the confidence and fire from this past weekend as they battled to stay alive in the match with a 25-22 win. The Lady Blazers were able to get their offense going and kept the Millsaps defense on their heels.
Unfortunately, the Lady Blazers struggled to retain their momentum from game three while Millsaps regrouped and took the early lead 5-1 in game four. The Lady Majors expanded the lead to 15-7 before eventually running away with the game 25-13.
