New Orleans, LA-The Belhaven volleyball team wrapped up the 2008 season falling to Dillard University Saturday morning in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference tournament elimination match. The Lady Blazers finish the season 9-26 with the loss while the Lady Devils improved to 6-15 before losing to Mobile in the semifinals.
Erinn Hampton led the Lady Blazers in attacks slamming a match high 13 kills.
Kelsey Stack wrapped up her outstanding career at Belhaven with 27 assists.
Jessica Davis chipped in with two aces and four blocks to help the Belhaven offense. Defensively, Hampton also paced the Lady Blazers with 16 digs.
Belhaven looks to have a good core of players returning for next season after getting a solid year of experience in at the collegiate level. That experience will hopefully translate into an exciting season in 2009.
