Jackson, MS-The Lady Blazers put up a solid fight against Mississippi College Tuesday night, but lost in four games to the Lady Choctaws 21-25, 26-28, 27-25, and 14-25. After falling behind 2-0 in tightly contested games, Belhaven was able to survive two match points to remain alive and force game four. In game four, Mississippi College left nothing to chance winning 25-14 to secure the victory.

Belhaven was led by Kelsey Stack with 26 assists, Jessica Davis had 18 digs, and Kourtney Clark added 8 kills. Erinn Hampton, Mary Jeanne Kenyon, and Stack each contributed an ace in the match.

The loss drops Belhaven's overall record to 3-9 and they will try and pick up win number four this weekend when they host the Belhaven College Volleyball Invitational Tournament beginning on Friday. 
The tournament will feature Lambuth University, Wiley College, Dillard University, and Millsaps. The Lady Blazers will face Dillard at 3 Friday afternoon and Lambuth at 7. Saturday, Belhaven will battle Wiley at 10 AM and take on Millsaps at 4 to close out the weekend.
