Jackson, MS-The Belhaven volleyball team had a strong showing Friday night as they upended cross-town rival Millsaps College in five games 27-25, 23-25, 25-19, 19-25, and 15-10. The Lady Blazers are now 7-19 on the season with Friday's victory in the Millsaps College Tri-Match.

 

Offensively, Belhaven was paced by Christina Atwood with 16 kills and Kelsey Stack had 34 assists against the Lady Majors. Jessica Akiona also played well leading the Lady Blazers defense with 19 digs. Stack also had three solo blocks and Kourtney Clark tallied two solo blocks and one block assist. Erinn Hampton led the team in aces Friday night with five.

Belhaven will be back in action Saturday afternoon for their second game in the Millsaps Tri-Match against Huntingdon College beginning at 2.
