Montgomery, Ala-The Lady Blazers opened up play in the Faulkner University Invitational splitting a pair of matches against Webber International University and Martin Methodist College. Belhaven lost their first match to Webber in three games 18-25, 12-25, and 19-25. The Lady Blazers then fought back to win the second match of the night defeating Martin Methodist 25-23, 25-21, and 25-23 in three tightly contested games.

 

Against Webber, Belhaven was led by Mary Jeanne Kenyon with six kills, while Kelsey Stack had 16 assists to go along with 11 digs. Jessica Davis had one ace in the opening match of the night. Christina Atwood led the charge against Martin Methodist with eight kills, two solo and two block assists, plus an ace. Kelsey Stack turned in another solid effort with 28 assists and 18 more digs. Kenyon also had an ace to in the Lady Blazer Victory.
