JACKSON, Miss. - Belhaven guard Candler Gregory has been named the C Spire Athlete of the Week following her performances on the court this past week versus LeTourneau University and the University of Texas at Tyler. 

The senior recorded 13 points and four rebounds against LeTourneau, and added 18 points and four boards versus Texas-Tyler. Gregory shot 5-for-10 from the field and 4-for-7 from behind the arc versus the Patriots. 

For the season, the Hampton, Ga. native ranks third in the American Southwest Conference (ASC) in three-point percentage (.374) and fifth in three-pointers made per game (2.0). Over the Blazers last 10 games, Gregory has averaged 14 points while making 25 three-pointers in 61 attempts. 

Gregory and the rest of the Blazers return to the hardwood on Thursday, as they travel to Richardson, Texas to face the University of Texas at Dallas at 5:30 p.m.
