JACKSON, Miss. – Joshua Reed has been selected as the C Spire Athlete of the Week following his performance this past week, ending February 6, 2016.
 
Joshua Reed is currently ranked No. 1 in the NCCAA in the High Jump.  The Belhaven Track and Field teams competed t the Jim Green Invitational on Saturday, hosted by Illinois College.
 
The Blazers broke five school records in this last competition as their captain Reed lead in the High Jump.
 
Reed, a senior for Track & Field, broke his own record that he set last time out at the UAB Invitational. Reed improved his career best in the High Jump, clearing 2.07 meters, winning the event by .05 meters.
 
The Blazers return to action next weekend at Birmingham CrossPlex, as the Green and Gold will compete in the Samford Invitational. The meet begins next Friday, February 12 and runs through to Saturday.
