NORCROSS, Ga.-Daryl Arnold of the Belhaven men's basketball team was named the Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Week for his efforts in a pair of Blazer wins against William Carey University and Loyola University.

Arnold, a senior forward from Jackson, MS, had a pair of clutch performances knocking down 60 percent of his field goals during the week. Arnold combined to go 12 of 20 from the field and averaged 19.5 points per game in the two victories. He also played well defensively picking up a combined nine steals. Arnold is Belhaven's leading scorer this season averaging 14.8 points per game. He is second on the team in rebounding, pulling down 5.7 boards per contest.
