Hudson and her family expressed many emotions upon her signing day, Hudson said, “I'm happy and excited this process is finally over and I'm really looking forward to hitting the court next season.” This was Belhaven's first city of Jackson high school signee during the Evans era. “In my 11 years being the head coach of Belhaven, this was my first signee from the city of Jackson,” said Evans. “I'm ecstatic to have her on board.”
“I chose Belhaven because it was close to home,” added Hudson. Hudson decided on Belhaven over five other colleges and universities. Evans expects Hudson to make an early impact on the court, “I like the way she handles herself on the court,” said Evans. “She can shoot and handle the ball very well; her leadership and maturity will help her in making an immediate impact for the program.”
