Cleveland, TN-The Belhaven men's and women's cross country teams both placed third out of four teams at the Lee University Invitational on Saturday night in Cleveland, TN. Lee took first place in both the men's and women's meets.

Peter Davis was Belhaven's top finisher on the men's side with a total time of 33:06.41 in the 8000 meter race. Teammate Luke Lennon finished in 14th position six seconds behind Davis with a time of 33:12.64. Robert Ricks placed 20th with a time of 36:16.89 followed by Andrew Sinclair and Michael Hawkins who finished 22nd and 23rd with times of 38:02.95 and 38:13.41 respectively. Hilary Cheruiyot of Lee won the men's race with a time of 27:22.51.

On the women's side, Sarah Storment was the Blazer top finisher completing the 5000 meter course in 13th place with a time of 25:03.11. Sarah Rivera placed 17th with a time of 27:31.91 while Sarah McCallister, Seraphine Lin, and Chellese Hall crossed the line in 23rd, 24th, and 25th place respectively. McCallister had a final time of 28:55.91, Lin recorded a time of 28:59.87 and Hall finished the race with a time of 29:02.46. Anna Hrushka of Lee took first place with a time of 19:40.55.

The Belhaven men and women will both be back in action on Wednesday at the Mississippi College Season Opener Meet at Choctaw Trails. The women's 4k begins at 4:30 PM followed by the men's 5k at 5:00 PM.
