Jackson, MS-Head Coach Billy Evans and the Belhaven University women's basketball program would like to announce the signing of Amber Smith for the 2010-11 season.

Smith, a native of New Orleans, LA, played high school basketball at Northshore High School where she averaged 11.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game during her senior season. Smith was a four year letter winner and captain for the Panthers while garnering All-State Tammany, All Times Picayune, and All District Selections during her career. She also received the Coach's Award and was named to the All-State Academic Team.

Belhaven University is a member of the NAIA, Mid-South Conference and sponsors 13 intercollegiate sports, and will play in the Southern States Athletic Conference in 2010. Belhaven is an institution that focuses on preparing students academically and spiritually to serve Christ Jesus.
