Jackson, MS-Belhaven University Athletics posted their highest finish in school history in the Learfield Director's Cup Standings for the 2009-10 season. The Blazers were ranked 75th, for a finish well within the top third of all NAIA institutions.

The ranking awards points per sport based on the strength of the season finish, and points are totaled for fall, winter and spring sports. This was easily the highest Director's Cup finish ever for Belhaven, surpassing the previous high of 117th in 2000-01.

Belhaven was the highest ranked of all Gulf Coast Athletic Conference schools in 2009-10 and also won the Thomas Howell Cup, the GCAC's award for best overall Athletics Department.

Belhaven University is a member of the NAIA, Southern States Athletic Conference and Mid-South Conference and sponsors 13 sports. Belhaven is an institution that focuses on preparing students academically and spiritually to serve Christ Jesus.
