Kansas City, MO-The Belhaven softball team moved up one spot to number six in the latest NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Poll when it was announced by the NAIA on Tuesday afternoon.

The Blazers owned an overall record of 43-5 going into Tuesday afternoon's doubleheader at the University of Mobile. Last week Belhaven went 7-1 with wins over Spring Hill College, St. Xavier University, Columbia College, Olivet Nazarene University, and Robert Morris College. St. Xavier, Columbia, and Olivet were all ranked in the NAIA Top 25. Gulf Coast Athletic Conference rivals William Carey University and the University of Mobile are rated 15th and 23rd respectively.

The Blazers opened this week with a doubleheader split at Mobile losing game one 9-4 while coming back to take game two 4-0. Belhaven will entertain Spring Hill College on Thursday at Freedom Ridge Park before hitting the road again for doubleheaders at Freed-Hardeman University on Friday and Bethel University (TN) on Saturday.
