Josue Sabillon and the Belhaven women's soccer program recently announced the signing of Jantzen Oliver for the 2010 season. Jantzen is from Pascagoula, MS and played for Pascagoula High School. Jantzen's parents are Johnny and Janna Oliver.
Jantzen was a two year starter at Meridian Community College. During her freshman year, she played center midfielder and central defender during her sophomore year. Jantzen completed her career as a Lady Eagle with four goals and five assists. Two of Jantzen's four goals came in a 2-1 OT win against her hometown team Mississippi Gulf Coast in the 2008 Region XXIII Championship game.
The Lady Eagles defended their title successfully this season for back to back Region titles in '08 and '09. The Lady Eagles also claimed NJCAA District E Runners-up in 2008 and 2009.
Belhaven University is a member of the NAIA, Mid-South Conference and sponsors 13 intercollegiate sports, and will play in the Southern States Athletic Conference in 2010. Belhaven is an institution that focuses on preparing students academically and spiritually to serve Christ Jesus.
