Blazers Sign Key Recruit for 2010

Jackson, MS-Head Coach Josue Sabillon and the Belhaven women's soccer program recently announced the signing of Katie Alderman for the 2010 season. Alderman is from Pascagoula, MS and graduated from Pascagoula High School in 2008.

In 2008, Alderman entered her first season as a Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcat. Alderman played an instrumental role in 13 games while recording four assists. She showed great character, leadership, and a real passion for the game and her team. In 2009, Alderman was selected as a team captain during her sophomore year and led the Lady Bobcats to an 11-3-1 season record. Alderman recorded three goals, five assists, and made the selection for the All-State Team. Katie's mental toughness paired with her speed, strength, and ability to cover and win the ball certainly makes her a tough one to beat.

Belhaven University is a member of the NAIA, Mid-South Conference and sponsors 13 intercollegiate sports, and will begin playing in the Southern States Athletics Conference in 2010.
