Jackson, MS-Former Belhaven College hurler
Craig Westcott, who was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in this year's Major League Baseball Draft, helped lead the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes to the Norwest League Championship. The Volcanoes are one of the Giants Single A affiliates.
Westcott won game three on the mound in what proved to be a four game series with the Tri-City Dust Devils. He pitched seven innings of shutout baseball allowing only three hits while striking out seven in a 7-0 game three victory. Westcott was 7-0 in 14 appearances with the Volcanoes and Arizona League Giants.
