Hattiesburg, MS-Belhaven men's soccer players Juan Rodriguez and Zach Wallace were selected as the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Offensive Player and Defensive Player of the Week honors for their efforts against Louisiana College and Texas College September 8^th and 12^th.

                                           

Rodriguez, a native if Kenner, LA, was named offensive player of the week after turning in a hat trick for the Blazers against Texas College. The three goals for Rodriguez now give him five on the season and 10 points which is tops on the team in both categories. He has 14 total shots and an outstanding shooting percentage of 35.7. 

 

Wallace, a native of Nederland, TX, improved to 3-1 on the season in net as he picked up wins against Louisiana College and Texas College. Wallace had two saves and now has a total of 10 on the season with one shutout to his credit.

 

Belhaven (3-1) will return to action on Friday afternoon against Embry Riddle University at 4:30 and will then face the University of Texas-Brownsville Saturday at 5:00 PM.
