Jackson, MS-Head Coach
Hill Denson and the Belhaven baseball program would like to announce the signing of right handed pitcher Jorge Lorie Jr. for the 2010 season.
Lories, a native of Miami, FL, comes to Belhaven after having played at Freed-Hardeman University in 2009. Lorie compiled an overall record of 7-2, had an ERA of 3.07 and struck out 64 opposing hitters in 73.1 innings of work. Lorie also held opponents to a .236 batting average.
“We are happy to pick up Jorge this late in the summer. He is a great addition and can fill some gaps with the guys that we lost to graduation,” says Coach Denson. “Hopefully he will throw a lot of innings for us this year.”
