Kansas City, MO-The 2008 Belhaven Men's Soccer team was recently honored by the NAIA as a recipient of a Scholar Team award. The Blazers posted an impressive team GPA of 3.18. A record total of 837 teams received awards from the NAIA this year.
For a team to be considered for the NAIA Scholar Team award, they must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade point average must include all varsity athletes certified as eligible.
Belhaven will open the regular season on August 29th with a 1:00 PM kickoff at home against Tennessee Temple University. The Blazers will scrimmage Brilla on August 8th beginning at 7:00 at H.T. Newell Field.
