Hill Denson and the Belhaven baseball program would like to announce the signing of outfielder Jimmy Gilford for the 2010 season.
Gilford, a native of Taneytown, MD, comes to Belhaven after having played at Frederick Community College in 2009. Gilford compiled a .383 batting average, blasted three home runs, collected 11 doubles, three triples, and drove in 31 runs last season. Gilford was an All-Conference selection in 2008 and 2009 and was named to the All Region team in 2008.
Gilford chose Belhaven over The University of Maryland and Presbyterian College and is the son of Jim and Amy Gilford.
Belhaven College is a member of the NAIA, Gulf Coast Athletic Conference, and Mid-South Conference and sponsors 13 intercollegiate sports.
