Hill Denson and the Belhaven baseball program would like to announce the signing of Brayden Dykes for the 2010 season.
Dykes, a native of Hurley, MS, comes to Belhaven as a freshman after having played on East Central High School's 4A state runner up team. Dykes, a catcher, compiled a .280 batting average with six home runs and threw out 50 percent of would be base stealers this past season. He also was selected as a member of the 2009 Sun Herald Classic All Star Team.
Dykes was coached at East Central by three Belhaven College Baseball Alumni; Head Coach Gary Long (1989), Assistant Coach Bo Long (2000), and Brian Knight (2002).
Belhaven College is a member of the NAIA, Gulf Coast Athletic Conference, and Mid-South Conference and sponsors 13 intercollegiate sports.
