Jackson, MS-Head Coach Hill Denson and the Belhaven baseball program would like to announce the signing of Brett Moss for the 2010 season.

                      

Moss, a native of Laurel, MS, comes to Belhaven as a freshman after having played at Laurel High School. Moss compiled a .360 batting average and stole nine bases this past season. One the mound, Moss went 4-3 with 87 strikeouts in 50 innings of work.

 

Moss was selected as All District 5-4A for the 2008 and 2009 seasons along with being named as the MVP for Laurel High School during those same years. Moss was also awarded All County honors in 2008 and 2009 and was an All District performer in football and soccer during his time at Laurel.

 

"Brett is a very good athlete with a great arm and not only is he a very good baseball player; he is a great student and a great guy that comes from a good family,” says Coach Denson. “We are very excited to add him to our club"
