Jackson, MS-The green team bounced back from Tuesday's defeat by putting eleven runs on the board to take a 3-2 lead in the best of seven series.
Every member of the green team contributed as each hitter reached base safely throughout the contest. The biggest blow came as
Mark Gray delivered a double to right center off of releiver
Jordan Scott that cleared the bases with nobody out. This put Green up 6-3 and they never looked back.
The Green team got a strong outing from
Riley Galloway as he threw 4 solid innings before handing the ball off to Graham Upshaw. Galloway improved to 2-0 on the series and put the Green team in position to end the series Thursday with a win. Ben Royston finished the game for the Green and kept the White team off balance through 1 2/3 innings of work.
Alan Mchenry started the game for the White team and threw 4.1 innings before giving way to
Jordan Scott. Scott could keep the Green team off balance as they touched him up for 5 runs in 2/3 innings of work.
Matt Carter and Jordan Brewer finished the game for the White allowing 3 more runs collectively.
The Green team was led by Drew Dillard and
Justin Hill with two hits a piece. However, it was a total team effort as each team member contirbuted to the win.
The White team was led by Paul Moreno who had three singles on the day. The team hit the ball well but could never string the hits together at the right time.
Game 6 is slated for Thursday at 3pm.
