Levi Patton and the Blazer men's tennis program is pleased to announce the signing of Jim Scott for the 2011 season.
Scott comes to Belhaven via Kingwood Christian School in Alabama where he played number one singles and doubles matches and was the team MVP in 2009. His current rank in 18U in the State of Alabama is 13th and Scott boasted a 2009 tournament record of 29-9. Scott won four singles and two doubles tournaments in the 2009 USTA Tournament Championships. Scott is also a two time USTA Junior Team Tennis State Champion and Southern Sectional participant.
“Jim Scott is an extremely hard worker,” says Coach Patton. “He plays a counterpunch game that will give fits to his opponents.”
Belhaven College is a member of the NAIA, Gulf Coast Athletic Conference, and Mid-South Conference and sponsors 13 intercollegiate sports.
