Kansas City, MO-The Belhaven men's soccer team remained the 19th ranked team in the country in the latest 2009 NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll when the poll was released on Tuesday afternoon. The Blazers cracked the top 25 for the first time last week when they checked in at the number 19 spot.
Belhaven is 6-2-2 overall after having picked up a 6-4 win over Lambuth University last Tuesday night while scoring a 1-1 tie at Shorter College this past Saturday. The Blazers remain one spot behind Gulf Coast Athletic Conference rival William Carey University who also retained the 18th spot in this week's top 25 rankings with a record of 6-2-2.
Belhaven will take the field again on Wednesday as they host GCAC rival and 18th ranked William Carey University at H.T. Newell Field beginning at 7:00 PM. Wednesday's showdown with the Crusaders will be the Blazers first conference game of 2009.
