Hattiesburg, MS-Belhaven men's soccer player Juan Rodriguez was selected as the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts against Lambuth University and Shorter College this past week.

                                           

Rodriguez, a native if Kenner, LA, had a great week picking up his second hat trick of the season against Lambuth with three goals and two assists. He also scored the only goal for Belhaven in their tie with Shorter College. For the week, Rodriguez had four goals, two assists, and 10 total points. He leads the team this season in points with 22 and goals with 10.

 

Belhaven will take the field again on Wednesday as they host GCAC rival and 18^th ranked William Carey University at H.T. Newell Field beginning at 7:00 PM. Wednesday's showdown with the Crusaders will be the Blazers first conference game of 2009.
