Jackson, MS-The Belhaven College Baseball team held their annual Blood Drive on Wednesday October 21st following the conclusion of their fall practice schedule.
On September 12, 2001 Belhaven Baseball started a tradition of giving blood in memory of the terrorist attacks on our country (Sept. 11, 2001). The tradition has carried on and continues to grow each year. Every year, following fall practice, the Blazers enjoy the blessings of giving blood through a local blood collection agency.
“We look forward to our blood drive every year. It is a great way for us to help others,” says Belhaven Head Coach
Hill Denson. “We talk to our guys a lot about how important blood donation is and I am really proud of our guys this year. They really stepped up. Hopefully this experience will make them want to continue to give each year with us, and the rest of their life."
