Hattiesburg, MS-Belhaven women's soccer players
Nicole Trawick and
Jessica Eggold were selected as the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Offensive Player and Defensive Player of the Week for their efforts against the University of Mobile and Harding University October 20th and 23rd.
Trawick, a native of Willing Boro, NJ, was named offensive player of the week after posting a goal in a 2-1 win over Mobile while adding two more scores in a 3-0 shutout of Harding later that week. The three goals for Trawick now give her 12 goals and 25 points this season which is tops on the team in both categories.
Eggold, a native of St. Louis, MO, improved to 7-3-3 on the season in net as she picked up both wins against Mobile and Harding. Eggold made three saves in the Mobile match and turned away seven shots against Harding. Eggold has made 50 total saves this season and has posted six shutouts including a 3-0 victory over Harding. It was the third time this year that Eggold has been chosen as the GCAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Belhaven College is a member of the NAIA, Gulf Coast Athletic Conference, and Mid-South Conference and sponsors 13 intercollegiate sports.
