Hattiesburg, MS- Belhaven women's soccer player Jessica Eggold was selected as the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts against LSU-Shreveport and Christian Brothers University.

                                  

Eggold, a junior goalkeeper from St. Louis, MS, made eight saves in a 2-0 win against the Pilots and played the entire 110 minutes of a 3-3 2OT tie with two saves versus Christian Brothers on Saturday. Eggold is now 6-3-3 in net this season with 43 total saves and five shutouts after a victory over Mobile on Tuesday night.
