Behind a strong pitching performance by senior pitcher,
Riley Galloway and 13 hits; Belhaven Green took game 2 of the Steak and Burger Series by a score of 12-2 Thursday afternoon at Smith Wills Stadium.
Galloway threw 4 2/3 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. He struck out 3. Freshman, Ben Royston finished the final 1 1/3 innings giving up just one hit in his outing. Brandon Benton's 3 run HR in the 6th ended the game due to the ten run rule. Benton also had a single in the game. Outfielder, Jimmy Gilford went 3-3 with a double and 2 singles to lead Belhaven Green.
Craig Dean had a HR and
Timmy Foster was 2-4 with a HR and a single. Brett Moss was 2-4 on the day.
Kyle Feazell, Drew Dillard and
Mark Gray each had a hit for Belhaven Green.
Alan McHenry took the loss for Belhaven White giving up 4 runs on 5 hits in 3 innings of work.
Jordan Scott came on in relief of McHenry. Scott allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, striking out 5 in 3 innings. Taylor Bonifacio,
Lake Eiland, Derek Tortorich, John Michael Williamson, and Jordan Brewer each had a hit for Belhaven Green.
