Levi Patton and the Belhaven men's tennis program recently announced the signing of Robby Wright to the Blazer squad for the fall 2009 season.
Wright has been the number one player for WCS his junior year and will continue in that role during his senior season. He has played on the WCS team since the sixth grade and is a two time MVP. Wright has also been honored with the Coachs' award two times and has been Honorable Mention for Miami-Dade County four times. Wright has played tennis since he was six years old and first trained with former ATP pro Brad Jefferies and is currently training with Lawrence Tieleman, a former ATP pro.
Wright also excells in the classroom being named the male academic award winner for his graduating class. Coach Patton says "Wright shows the potential to move toward the top of the Blazer line-up during the Fall 2009 pre-season."
