Blazers Land Woods for Fall 2009

Jackson, MS-Head Coach Levi Patton and the Belhaven men's tennis program recently announced the signing of Trey Woods to the Blazer squad for the fall 2009 season. Woods is a native of Tunica, MS and is currently attending Holmes Community College.

Woods was an outstanding high school doubles player at Tunica Academy. He and his partner won the state championship during their 10th, 11th, and 12th grade seasons. Woods went on to play at Northwest Community College for one season prior to arriving at Holmes Community College. Woods is a number two singles player and number one doubles player at Holmes.

“Trey has developed a strong serve and ground game and has the ability to be a valuable component in the lineup,” says Patton.

Belhaven College is a member of the NAIA, Gulf Coast Athletic Conference, and Mid-South Conference and sponsors 13 intercollegiate sports.
