Jackson, MS-Head Coach Levi Patton and the Belhaven men's tennis program recently announced the signing of Jonathan West from Brandon High School to the Blazer squad for the fall 2009 season.

West has been playing on the Brandon High School Varsity Tennis Team for three seasons now, and will be a team captain in the spring of 2009. He currently plays singles and doubles at Brandon High School. Jonathan was named USTA number one novice player in 2007, and most improved player for the Brandon High School Tennis Team that same year.

In the summer, West participates in ACE Tennis Academy and Reservoir YMCA Strength and Endurance Tennis Training. Coach Patton says that "West's work ethic and drive makes me believe he will earn a spot in the line-up during the 2009 Fall pre-season. West will major in biochemistry at Belhaven in the fall of 2009.
