Levi Patton was a Belhaven tennis player, and now he returns to lead the Blazers as the head tennis coach. Patton will begin his first season as the head coach this Spring.
An Alabama native, Patton was a member of the tennis team at Gadsden State Community College from 2000-2002 before being recruited to play at Belhaven from 2002-2004. Patton was also a member of the 2003-2004 Cross Country team.
Coach Patton graduated from Belhaven College in 2004 where he received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and also in 2006 when he received his Master's degree in Business Management.
Patton is a Head Tennis Professional at Castlewoods Country Club in Brandon, Mississippi. He is a United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) certified teaching professional and a member of the United States Tennis Association (USTA). Patton is on the Mississippi State Board of the United States Professional Tennis Association. Patton has also coached Team Mississippi against other USTA Southern States at the Junior Southern Cup formally known as the Junior Davis Cup.
"Belhaven had such a strong impact on my life," Patton said. "Belhaven prepared me in so many different ways, being academically, mentally, spiritually and athletically. I look forward to building the program over the next several years and preparing student athletes to be mature and ready to go out and be successful in the marketplace."
