Lauren Brooks enters her third season on the Belhaven Women's Basketball staff as an Assistant Coach after joining Head Coach Steve Calder ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
In Brooks' two seasons with the staff, the Blazers have seen increased success culminating in back-to-back CCS Tournament Championship appearances. The 2024-25 season was a particularly strong one for Belhaven as they finished third in the CCS Regular Season standings and were one of just three teams to beat every team in the conference at least once.
A Jackson native, Brooks is a Belhaven University alum and former player for the Blazers' program having played two seasons from 2017-19. While at Belhaven, Brooks made 42 starts and 49 appearances, averaging 9.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
Following the 2018-19 campaign, Brooks was named an All-American Southwest Conference Second Team player after averaging a career-high 11.7 points per contest.
Prior to her Belhaven career, Brooks spent two seasons at Holmes Community College in Goodman, Mississippi. She is a graduate of Murrah High School.
