Rachel Jefcoat is in her third season as an Assistant for Belhaven’s Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs. Jefcoat, a native of Laurel, Miss., played for two seasons at Belhaven University.
During the 2016 campaign, she helped lead the Men's and Women's programs to its first NCCAA National Championships appearance, including a semifinal finish for the Women's program.
During her senior season at Belhaven, Jefcoat posted an 11-7 record in singles and a 10-8 record in doubles with her partner Mary Lichlyter. Jefcoat was also named to the SSAC Champions of Character Team her senior season.
As a junior, Jefcoat tied a team high with 12 victories as an individual while only acquiring five losses.
Prior to her time at Belhaven, Jefcoat played for two seasons at Jones County Junior College.
