Joel Robinson came to Belhaven from Phoenix, Arizona with his wife, Kimberly.
As the Graduate Assistant for the Men’s Soccer Program, Robinson's focus is on training the goalkeepers while assisting with First and Reserve Team trainings.
Robinson grew up in the Central Illinois Select Program before transitioning to the Metro United Football Club Program located in the Metro East St. Louis area. During his time there the club won many titles. He also participated in the USL Olympic Development Program which reinforced his skill and leadership abilities. Robinson went on the play at MacArthur High School and as captain helped lead them to various tournament titles.
Robinson spent his college career playing for Greenville College under the leadership of Coach McMahon. Robinson was the first goalkeeper to lead the team to the NCAA National Tournament and the team’s best finish in the NCCAA National Tournament as well as a second appearance. As team captain, he helped guide the team to record tying win season’s and received Regional Awards.
Joel earned his Bachelor Degree from Greenville College in Accounting and is looking forward to pursuing his MBA during his time as a graduate assistant.
“I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to learn from Coach McMahon and am incredibly grateful to be working for an institution as accomplished as Belhaven University,” said Robinson.
