Garrett Busby is entering his first season as a Student Assistant at Belhaven. He will be completing his Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media Arts and Sports Management.
Busby played four seasons at Belhaven, featuring as a midfielder and defender. In his playing career, he was also a member of the ASC All-Academic team in the 2018 and 2021 seasons, maintaining a 3.4 GPA
His responsibilities in this role include capturing in-game and training photos/videos, designing engaging graphics for social media platforms (Instagram and Facebook), operating the Social Media accounts, and writing game recaps.
Busby has had his articles featured in the local newspaper industries, Rankin County News, and The Clinton Courier along with the Belhaven Athletics website. He is currently the Lead Journalist for Jackson, Mississippi's local Semi-Pro team, Gaffa Football Club, who compete in the Eastern Conference of the Gulf Coast Premier League. He is also interning at Brandon High School.
