Craig McCabe

Craig McCabe is in his second year as a graduate assistant coach for Belhaven's Men's and Women's Soccer program. McCabe spent the 2015 season as a student assistant coach for the men's team after spending the previous two seasons playing for the Blazers Men's Soccer team. 

During his time at Belhaven, McCabe played a defensive role in his two seasons for the Blazers, making 14 starts while scoring one goal. 

Prior to coming to Belhaven, McCabe came to the United States in 2011 from Scotland and played for the Herkimer County Community College Generals in New York. In 21 games, he scored 10 goals, collected 13 assists and 33 points as a midfielder. McCabe scored the game winning goal to extend Herkimer's national tournament run and was recognized as the team's Most Valuable Player.

Before moving to the United States, McCabe played for the Dundee United Academy under current Newcastle's Assistant Coach Ian Cathro in Scotland.

While obtaining a Higher National Diploma at Dundee College, McCabe also coached for Box Soccer and the Dundee United J League. His coaching qualifications include: Level 1, 2 and 3 coaching badges from the Scottish Football Association, and USA National D and E Licenses.  

McCabe is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Belhaven.Â
