John Works enters his 3rd season on the Belhaven Men's Basketball staff after joining as an Assistant Coach alongside Head Coach Josh Brooks ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
Works, a Belhaven alumnus, returned to Belhaven after spending two seasons as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Division II Delta State University where his roles included scouting, video breakdown, practice planning, recruiting and team operations.
A native of Corinth, Mississippi, Works was a member of the Belhaven Men's Basketball team for four seasons from 2015-19 and finished his career with 14 starts and 54 appearances. Prior to competing at Belhaven, Works spent one season at Freed Hardeman University where he was a red shirt.
Works graduated from Belhaven in May of 2019 with a Bachelor's of Science in Sports Management. He also holds a Master's of Science in Human and Sports Performance from Delta State University.Â
Works and his wife, Parrish, reside in Flowood, Mississippi.Â
