"Casey's dynamic blend of experience and focus is just the right catalyst in the continued growth of our Marching and Pep Band programs," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Scott Little.  I'm excited to watch him lead our students and grow these programs, especially with the new Bowl Stadium coming online September 1."

"I am excited to be a part of building the band and establishing a tradition at Belhaven," commented Kirk. "I am a person that sets high goals and standards and then exhausts every resource to achieve them, and I have great plans for the band at BU. I am looking forward to teaching and mentoring the current students, while reaching out across the southeast for potential students to serve in Belhaven's educational mission."

Kirk is married to Rebecca, who is an English teacher in Madison County, and they have two children, Karis and Samuel. They are active members at First Presbyterian Church in Jackson.
