Belhaven University Athletics

Rebecca Romine joined the Belhaven University staff in October 2018. As the Athlete Student Care Officer, Rebecca helps oversee student-athlete academic progress and retention.

Prior to joining the Belhaven staff, Rebecca spent almost four years at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama as a Learning Specialist. In this role, she worked with at-risk student-athletes and helped to manage the student-athlete tutoring program. While Rebecca was a member of the JSU Academic Support staff at Jacksonville State, student-athletes experienced tremendous academic success. They posted their highest cumulative GPA for all varsity programs (3.26) in Spring 2018, breaking the 3.236 record set in the Fall 2017 semester after more than 12 straight semesters of a cumulative GPA above a 3.0.

While completing her undergraduate degree, Rebecca worked as a peer tutor at Jacksonville State University’s Academic Center for Excellence. Rebecca obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Jacksonville State University in 2014. She also obtained her Masters of Business Administration from Jacksonville State University in 2017.

Rebecca is originally from Weaver, Alabama, and currently resides in Flowood, Mississippi.
