Justin Williamson is entering his first season on the Belhaven Football staff after being named Special Teams Coordinator and Linebackers Coach in June 2023.
Williamson joined the Blazers' staff from Division III program Bridgewater College where he spent two years as an assistant coach with the Eagles. Williamson served as Defensive Line Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Bridgewater who went 9-1 in the 2022 season. The Eagles' defense recorded an ODAC leading 31 sacks in the 2022 season and Williamson had one player named to the All-ODAC First Team. In total, Williamson had three players earned All-ODAC honors across his two seasons with the Eagles.
Prior to Bridgewater, Williamson was on staff at Norfolk State University for four seasons. Williamson joined the Spartans' staff in 2017 as the Tight Ends coach before moving into the Defensive Line Coach and Recruiting Coordinator role ahead of the 2018 season.Â
Williamson played collegiately at the University of Richmond from 2011-2014 as a defensive lineman. In 2014 Williamson recorded 9.0 tackles for loss and 7.0 sacks landing him a spot on the All-CAA Third Team.Â
