Belhaven University Athletics

Jordan Potts is entering his sixth season on staff as the Linebackers coach at Belhaven University.

During his time with the Blazers' coaching staff, Potts has coached six all-conference linebackers and had five linebackers lead the team in tackles. 

In 2022, Potts coached a linebacker group headed by Connor Fordham who was named the USA South Defensive Player of the Year after leading the Belhaven defense in tackles.

Potts coached Isaiah Blackmon, who earned 2nd Team All-ASC and Connor Fordham earned 3rd Team All-ASC in the 2021 spring season. In 2019, Potts coached David Lewis who earned 1st Team All-ASC and prior to that, coached Denarrius Noel in 2018 who earned 3rd Team All-ASC honors.

Before Belhaven, Potts spent two years coaching football at Navarro Junior College in Corsicana, Texas under Head Coach, Cody Crill. At Navarro, Potts coached Outside Linebackers in 2016 and was the assistant Linebacker Coach in 2017. 

Potts is a graduate of Bethel College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education. 

Potts is from Rosenberg, TX, and is a graduate of BF Terry High School. Potts is the son of Leanne and Cameron Benner.
